It is very rich, yet absorbs quickly. It has a slight nutty fragrance, but it's not noticeable at all, especially if you mix it with other oils or lotions, or add some essential oils. I use it all over my body, on my face and even to moisturize the tips of my hair. I add a few drops to my facial lotion to boost its moisturizing capabilities for the dry winter months, and to my hair conditioner. I used to have really dry skin and hair in the winter, but thanks to this stuff, I now have great skin all year round. It is a bit on the expensive side, but if you only use a few drops at a time like I do, it lasts quite long and gives me good value for my money. Could have a nice dropper to make application on the face better but otherwise my skin and hair responds really well. Hardly notice the smell, makes my face feel soft and no oily residue. I then tub my hands through my hair ends and that helps with split ends
