Badger SPF sunscreens are highly rated for safety and effectiveness by the Environmental Working Group in their Skin Deep Safe Cosmetics database.
Zinc Oxide, the active ingredient in the sunscreens is a physical block which reflects the sun's rays and provides excellent UVA and UVB protection. It allows skin to breathe when exercising, it doesn't drip & sting eyes, it starts working on application (no waiting) & it's environmentally friendly (packaged in #2 65% Post-Consumer Recycled Tubes) & safe for marine life and reefs.
Please note that since this is a natural, mineral-based SPF30 sunscreen, it does have a slight whitening effect.
In terms of effectiveness Badger Sunscreen came 2nd out of 900 creams tested for safety in the US (chemical & non chemical).
Directions- Rub into sun-exposed skin at regular intervals.
- Water resistant for up to 40 minutes.
Ingredients
Non-nano, uncoated zinc oxide 18.75%, *helianthus annus (sunflower) oil, *cera alba (beeswax), *hippophae rhamnoides (seabuckthorn) CO2 extract, tocopherol (sunflower vitamin E).

15/11/2017, By DilemmaReally good product. I was nervous cause of the price but it does all it proclaims and feel very comfortable on. My fussy 4 year old had no problems with it either. Very happy to find this. Will be buying more.12/07/2016, By Stacey-LeeIve been using this product for the last 2 years and i love it! I use it for hiking and swimming alike. The main reason i love it is because it is a sun BLOCK (hence the thickness) as opposed to a sun SCREEN which is a chemical block and far worse for your skin and the environment it ends up in. Zinc is also a natural anti bacterial and great for your skin. By far my most favourite sunblock on the market.

I was delighted to find this product but I am utterly disappointed.
First off the texture is thick and its difficult to rub in.
It leaves your skin white. This didn matter to me until
I got more sunburnt where I applied the sunblock than where I didn . I am responsible in the sun and I applied the sunblock numerous times and I did not swim. I cannot believe it did not work.
I thought I might have been the only consumer with this experience but I checked up on the reviews on amazon and there are others with a similar experience.
Please don buy this product its not worth the risk.
