The nitty-gritty:
I naturally have problematic lips, NOTHING works for me except my trusty vaseline, the original stuff, non of the flavoured gimmickry.
On the 3rd day:
I was screaming hallelujah whilst peeling off huge chunks of scaly skin off my lips, they where soft before but now a wee bit softer. Did the balm create a problem and solve it? Not sure on that one, but i appreciated how my lips looked after shedding all that skin with less drama than a Cobra can manage.
5 Days;
I am using this thing as frequently as a bee repeats the mantra "no stinging no dying" but results are now spotty. I havn't used any vaseline so far and now my lips are crying for help with more scales bursting through the doors. Rough pieces of skin scattered all over mostly my upper bottom lip. Hmmmm!, anyone want a rigorous kiss? Didn't think so.
Final thoughts:
I love the lip balm but for my extremely sensitive lips it will have to team up with vaseline applied nightly with the balm taking over during the day, its thicker, a lot less shiny compared to the kingpin and it works. A win win in my book. which I love, some chapstick smells are sickly. Glides on easily without overdoing the quantity so you can build it up as you prefer. He hated other natural alternatives I bought for him, but this one he finds more effective than regular chapsticks. With Lobello, Soft Lips, etc. he found he had to continuously apply them throughout the day or his lips would get dry. With Bee Natural, he finds his lips get less dry even if he doesn reapply it, so he ends up using less over the course of the day. It is also slightly less greasy than petroleum-based chapsticks, which is nice.
I would also recommend this for cold sores, and for easy application of a soothing and healing ointment to spots or scars.

That said, this is still the best natural lipbalm on the market at a good price. I can use any product on my lips that contains anything unnatural (eg vaseline, mineral oil, petroleum derivatives, etc) - the skin starts to crack, peel, bleed. This is one of very few which agrees well with my lips. I even find if I want to wear a lip colour (for short periods only), I can put this on as a base layer to help protect my lips.
