Comes with some recipes for ice cream and sorbet, and it's possible to follow those quantities, but change the ingredients for those that you prefer (e.g. full cream milk instead of skimmed). Was surprised to see this product more than R200 cheaper on another website, so if the price is important to you, then 'shop around'!10/01/2018, By BronwenThis is a cute size for an ice-cream maker. I don't know if there are better options out there but the paddle which is plastic is a bit cheaply made and often gets stuck which causes the whole top of the motor part to start jumping up and down . Once you stop the machine and take the paddle out you cannot put it back in and restart it. It gets stuck.
Other than that, it produces lovely ice-cream in 20 minutes.
It does take up freezer space so just be aware that you need to store it in the freezer up to 12 hours prior to making your ice-cream.07/11/2015, By MarieWe are enjoying our machine a lot. We have experimented with quite a few flavours and have been happy every time! I double the recipes which allows our family to have ice-cream 2-3 times. I keep the bowl in the freezer all the time as it needs 12 hours freezer time, so I can quickly make ice-cream for evening dessert. I find we like it most if I churn for 30-40 minutes and then pour the soft ice-cream into a container in the freezer. Lovely!
