Plastic Free July
Who Is Faithful The Fish?
The Fish Named Faithful was born under the glow of the full moon, near the rocks in Cape Town. All of her siblings had fallen victim to plastic pollution, whether by eating it or becoming tangled in fishing lines, leaving Faithful lonely, heartbroken and scared that the same would happen to her.
Did you know that every year up to 12 MILLION metric tons of plastic lands up in our oceans and that by 2050 there will be more plastic in our oceans than marine life?
Faithful the fish is on a mission to eradicate the problem that we have created by collecting plastic throughout the month, sorting it to be recycled and disposed of ethically so that it doesn’t land up in our oceans.
We need your help to make Faithful’s mission a success and save our seas. Come down to the V&A Waterfront throughout July and feed Faithful your unwanted plastic. As a company, we will ensure that the plastic will be sorted and sent to the correct facilities to be recycled or reused and that no plastic given to Faithful will end up in our oceans or landfill.
