I mix it with coconut oil and also add a few drops of lemon grass and use it on my throat (thyroid) and also massage my feet with it. It also seems to keep mozzies away.
To keep ants out of my dogs bowls just rub a drop of peppermint oil on the outside of the bowl. This seems to work, though somehow ants seem to not mind mint growing in the garden. Wash your hands afterwards and apply some lotion or base oil, because the peppermint can burn your skin a bit.
