15/07/2019, By AlexThis is not so much a paste as a slimy jelly. It's difficult to get the right amount out of the jar as it slides off the spoon. It isn't as concentrated as I would have expected from a vanilla paste, so you have to use more, making it not cost effective. It has a strong alcohol smell and taste, and the vanilla actually takes time to come through. It is better than the VM vanilla extract, but sadly I wouldn't recommend either.15/04/2019, By MarilieI was very excited when I bought this as I LOVE real vanilla (I usually use vanilla powder if I can get) ....I added a half a spoonful to my cereal and I couldn't taste any vanilla, just a funny other unpleasant taste. I licked the spoon - mostly alcohol. I then read the ingredients...mostly vanilla extract (with alcohol), water, glucose, etc and only 3 percent vanilla seeds.
